National Scheme: ENAC

Inspectors of Welded Construction (ICS)


In order to qualify Welded Construction Inspectors (ICS), according to the UNE 14.618 Standard, CESOL has the ENAC C/PE-004 accreditation. The National Accreditation Entity is an organisation under the auspices of the Ministry of Science and Technology that accredits bodies that carry out conformity assessment activities.

CESOL stresses the importance of the people responsible for the inspection of welded constructions, and to this end has published the UNE 14618 standard, which establishes the minimum requirements (experience, etc.) that professionals in the inspection of welded equipment and assemblies must have.

 CESOL will issue a certificate, together with a letter stating the conditions of use of the certificate. The certification must be renewed every 3 years.




ENAC accreditation for the certification of welders in accordance with EN ISO 9606-1 and EN ISO 9606-2 and Inspectors, in accordance with UNE 14618:

  • ENAC (National Accreditation Entity).
  • EWF (European Welding Federation).

  • GSI, German organisation formed by the SLVs of Berlin-Brandenburg, Duisburg, Fellbach, Halle, Hannover and Munich.
