What does it consist of?
It is a method of "demonstrating that your company manufactures products that meet the requirements of a certain quality standard.".
You can choose between three "certification levels", depending on your customers' requirements, degree of responsibility for welded products, applicable product regulations. These levels are described in the standards:
EN ISO 3834-2: Complete quality requirements.
EN ISO 3834-3: Normal quality requirements.
EN ISO 3834-4: Elementary quality requirements.
What Advantages Does Certification Provide?
Certification is a "precise and impartial verification of compliance with the quality requirements for Welding", carried out by a relevant organization in the field of welded fabrications, CESOL, through the application of a "Certification Scheme", accredited by:
Improve welding documentation, technology and applications.
It contributes to the optimization of manufacturing, construction and maintenance, in order to provide the Community with the quality and safety that it demands from welded equipment and installations.
Improves the image of the company.
Reduces non-quality costs.
How is the Certification Process?
Certification request. You can request to start a certification process for your company by completing the Application Form.
Documentary evaluation. Prior to the audit, a first documentary evaluation of the company's situation is carried out. The objective of this evaluation is to guarantee that the company is in a position to face the certification before carrying out the audit.
Audit process. During the audit process, the Audit Team evaluates the degree of compliance of your company with the requirements of the qualification standard. You will have a period of 6 months to correct and demonstrate any non-compliance detected during the audit.
Certification and issuance of the certificate. Once the audit team concludes that your company meets the requirements of the standard, it presents the file to the Certification Committee for final approval and issuance of the certificate.
Certification monitoring. The certification obtained has a duration of 5 years, subject to annual monitoring by the certification entity, CESOL.
Do you know who certifies you?
CESOL, with the aim of providing the highest quality, is accredited by the EWF and the IIW for the certification of companies in accordance with the EN ISO 3834 standard.
The certificates issued have international acceptance, in fact, they are issued on official EWF and IIW paper. (Click on the logos above to see an example of a certificate).
UNE-EN ISO 15085-2 CERTIFICATION
WHAT DOES IT CONSIST OF? It is a method of "demonstrating that your company manufactures products that satisfy the quality requirements established in the EN ISO 15085-2 standard: Railway Applications. Welding of vehicles and railway components. Quality and certification requirements of the manufacturer of welding".
EN 15085 establishes four "certification levels", depending on the type of product or component to be manufactured:
Class CL1. Products of maximum responsibility or load level. (See list of typical products).
Class CL2. Products of responsibility or average load level. (See list of typical products).
Class CL3. Products of low responsibility or level of charge. (See list of typical products).
Class CL4. Applicable to companies that do not weld directly but incorporate welded pieces or parts from the previous categories in their products. For certification levels CL1, CL2 and CL4, certification is a requirement of the standard, that is, a company that claims to comply with class CL1 must be certified. NOTE: For class CL4, certification is only a requirement when sells products that incorporate pieces or parts of classes CL1 and CL2.
WHAT ADVANTAGES DOES CERTIFICATION PROVIDE? Certification is an "accurate and impartial verification of compliance with quality requirements for Welding during the manufacture of railway vehicles and their components< /b>", carried out by a relevant organization in the field of welded fabrications, CESOL, through the application of a "Certification Scheme", authorized by the Ministry of Development, as a Railway Safety Entity in Spain.
It is a mandatory requirement to manufacture products of classes CL1 and CL2, as well as class CL4 in the cases described in the previous section.

DO YOU KNOW WHO CERTIFIES YOU?
CESOL, with the aim of providing the highest quality, has authorization from the Ministry of Public Works, as a Railway Safety Entity in Spain, for the certification of companies in accordance with the EN 15085 system of standards.
